New trends in international trade! On February 25, the Chongqing-Dianyunnan-Myanmar Indian Ocean International Train carrying auto and motorcycle parts products departed from the Tuanjie Village Station in Chongqing, and will leave the country through the Qingshuihe Port in Lincang City, Yunnan Province, and finally arrive in Yangon, Myanmar, through rail and public transport. The stable operation of this train will not only help to jointly build the international trade corridor of the new China-Myanmar Indian Ocean corridor, but also continuously deepen the connectivity between the RCEP member countries.

In 2022, the Chongqing-Dianyunnan-Myanmar Indian Ocean International Trade Train successfully launched. In June of the same year, the train arrived in Mandalay, Myanmar, and a more economical and convenient new route for shipping logistics in the western inland region was born. The whole route of the train is 3000 kilometers, and the transportation time is 8-10 days, saving nearly 1 month compared with the traditional logistics route.

Relying on the role of Lincang as a radiation center for South Asia and Southeast Asia, Chongqing's local and surrounding export goods can be connected to Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South Asia through Myanmar's export port, and the transportation distance and transportation time are greatly shortened. In the future, through this channel, local high-quality goods will "go out" more easily and quickly, and imported goods from international trade will "come in" more smoothly. It is of strategic significance for Chongqing and Yunnan to build a new large channel for foreign trade transport to the sea and accelerate regional economic development, and will continue to "empower" the opening and development of the two places.

It is reported that in the next step, Chongqing, New Europe, COSCO and South Asia will continue to deepen strategic cooperation in the future, give full play to the advantages of international and domestic logistics distribution system and the strategic location advantages of Chongqing and Yunnan, increase the coordination of resources, do a good job in the organization of the source of goods for the international trade train in the Indian Ocean between Chongqing, Yunnan and Myanmar, ensure the two-way stable operation of the freight train, promote the standardized, large-scale and normalized operation of the channel, and work together to build a new channel for the Indian Ocean between China and Myanmar, Help build a new development pattern of "double centers" and "double hubs" in international trade logistics.
