On April 10th, a container train carrying 2000 tons of micro silicon powder departed from the South Freight Station of Yinchuan Freight Center of Lanzhou Railway Group, and will be transported by sea from Tianjin Port to Jebel Ali Port in Dubai. The entire journey will be "one order to the end" and "one box to the end". This train is the first time Ningxia has transported goods exported to Dubai using the "one unit" mode of rail sea intermodal transportation, marking the official opening of the "one unit" international trade and freight export channel for Yinchuan Tianjin Port Dubai.

It is reported that the "one order system" rail sea intermodal transportation model between Yinchuan and Tianjin Port is a facilitation measure jointly launched by the Ningxia Department of Commerce (Government Port Office), in conjunction with ports, customs, railways, ports, and large shipping companies in the two regions, to optimize the port business environment. It can effectively reduce the circulation of documents, avoid cargo container swapping, and have significant advantages in efficiency, energy conservation, and emission reduction. Since the first "one unit" rail sea intermodal train was launched to Tianjin Port on March 28, 2022, a total of 3593 TEUs of international trade import and export goods have been shipped to more than 50 port cities in 12 countries, including Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, India, the Netherlands, Germany, Bangladesh, Pakistan, the Philippines, Russia, and the United Arab Emirates. Seven shipping companies, including Mediterranean, Maersk, DaFei, COSCO, and Hebrot, have incorporated Yinchuan and Shizuishan as their departure ports into their global shipping system, effectively improving the service guarantee level of Ningxia's international trade and freight channels.

It is understood that micro silicon powder is a by-product of the ferroalloy industry in smelting ferrosilicon and industrial silicon (metallic silicon), which is recycled by environmental protection equipment through the flue. It is widely used in the production of cement or concrete admixtures, refractory materials and ceramic products, as well as in projects such as dams, large reservoirs, hydropower, seaports, railway bridges, highways, airport runways, tunnels, and super high-rise buildings. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of environmental protection level in the Ningxia ferroalloy industry, all ferroalloy enterprises have been equipped with dust removal and environmental protection equipment, and have met the environmental protection requirements of the domestic industry admission standards. While meeting environmental standards, the production of micro silicon powder has also significantly increased. If discarded as industrial waste, it not only wastes resources but also causes environmental dust pollution. Smooth international trade and export freight channels for micro silicon powder are of great significance for promoting the export of solid waste in Ningxia, transforming waste into treasure, and improving the level of environmental protection and management efficiency of enterprises.
