On May 5th, on the basis of the smooth operation of the "13+2" regional customs cooperation mechanism for the Western Land Sea New Channel, Chongqing Customs and Nanning Customs signed the "Memorandum of Cooperation on Joint Support for the Construction of the Western Land Sea New Channel", further leveraging the supporting role of Chongqing and Guangxi, two key nodes of the Western Land Sea New Channel, and injecting new energy into customs to accelerate the construction of the Western Land Sea New Channel.

According to the memorandum of cooperation, the two customs will carry out practical cooperation in three aspects: coordinating the smooth flow of logistics channels in all directions, enhancing the facilitation level of international trade clearance, and strengthening the construction of smart customs and service guarantee work. Specifically, it includes supporting efficient and timely supervision of the "Chongqing Qinzhou" rail sea intermodal transportation; Support the expansion of cargo sources for the "Chongqing Pingxiang" Sino Vietnam International Railway intermodal train; Improve the efficiency of international trade clearance at the "China ASEAN" cross-border highway transportation ports; Improve the level of facilitation of international trade customs transfer and promote the realization of "all transfers should be made"; Promote efficient connection of international trade logistics channels; Deepen customs clearance cooperation; Strengthen cooperation in tax collection and management; Promote the integration of risk prevention and control; Explore collaborative innovation in customs supervision in the pilot free trade zone; Promote high-quality implementation of RCEP; Strengthen laboratory cooperation; Promote the construction of smart customs and the action of "smart customs power"; Conduct statistical analysis of ASEAN countries' foreign trade; Establish 14 cooperation measures, including the establishment of a joint meeting system between the two customs officials and a specialized joint work team mechanism.

It is reported that Chongqing Customs and Nanning Customs will work together to solve problems, break walls, and break circles based on the principles of "consensus consultation, joint construction and sharing, and joint connection and connectivity". They will fully leverage the role of customs and strive to further accelerate, increase efficiency, and expand the transportation capacity, trade scale, resource integration, and service efficiency of the channel.
