1. Car sales in April increased by 8.6% year-on-year

In April, the production and sales of automobiles were 2.234 million and 2.252 million, an increase of 6.3% and 8.6% respectively year-on-year.

From January to April, the production and sales of automobiles were 8.586 million and 8.748 million respectively, an increase of 53.4% and 51.8% year-on-year.

(1) Passenger car sales in April increased by 10.8% year-on-year

In April, the production and sales of passenger vehicles were 1.714 million and 1.704 million, respectively, an increase of 7.9% and 10.8% year-on-year. In terms of vehicle models, the production and sales of sedans were 745,000 and 757,000 respectively, of which production fell by 1.9% year-on-year and sales increased by 2% year-on-year; the production and sales of SUVs completed 843,000 and 821,000 respectively, up 16% and 17.6% year-on-year; The production and sales of MPV were 82,000 and 85,000, up 27.1% and 39.7% respectively year-on-year; the production and sales of cross-type passenger vehicles were 43,000 and 41,000, respectively, up 14.4% and 13% year-on-year.

From January to April, the production and sales of passenger vehicles were 6.668 million and 6.791,000 respectively, an increase of 55.3% and 53.1% year-on-year. In terms of vehicle types, the production and sales of sedans were 3.045 million and 3.14 million, up 51.8% and 51% year-on-year; the production and sales of SUVs were 3.193 million and 3.237 million, up 57.8% and 55.7% year-on-year; MPV production and sales were completed respectively 321,000 vehicles and 307,000 vehicles, an increase of 79.8% and 56% year-on-year respectively; the production and sales of cross-type passenger vehicles were 111,000 and 107,000, respectively, an increase of 26.8% and 31.6% year-on-year.

In April, the sales of Chinese brand passenger vehicles were 719 thousand, a year-on-year increase of 34.8%, accounting for 42.2% of total passenger vehicle sales, and their share increased by 7.5 percentage points year-on-year.

From January to April, the cumulative sales of Chinese brand passenger vehicles were 2.828 million, a year-on-year increase of 66.9%, accounting for 41.6% of total passenger vehicle sales, and their share increased by 3.4 percentage points year-on-year. Among them, the sales volume of sedans was 845,000, a year-on-year increase of 116%, and the market share was 26.9%; the sales volume of SUV was 1.673 million, a year-on-year increase of 54.3%, and the market share was 51.7%; the sales volume of MPV was 202,000, a year-on-year increase of 47%, and the market share was 66%.

(2) Commercial vehicle sales in April increased by 2.3% year-on-year

In April, the production and sales of commercial vehicles were 521,000 and 548,000, respectively, an increase of 1.2% and 2.3% year-on-year. In terms of vehicle types, the production and sales of trucks were 472,000 and 501,000 respectively, of which output fell by 0.6% year-on-year and sales increased by 0.7% year-on-year; the production and sales of passenger cars were 48,000 and 47,000, respectively, up 23.8% and 23.1% year-on-year.

From January to April, the production and sales of commercial vehicles were 1.918 million and 1.956 million, respectively, an increase of 47% and 47.3% year-on-year. In terms of vehicle types, the production and sales of trucks were 1.759 million and 1.797 million, up 47.1% and 46.9% year-on-year; the production and sales of passenger cars were 159,000, up 46.6% and 52.2% year-on-year.

2. Sales of new energy vehicles in April increased 1.8 times year-on-year

In April, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were completed at 216,000 and 206,000, respectively, a year-on-year increase of 1.6 times and 1.8 times. In terms of vehicle types, the production and sales of pure electric vehicles were 182,000 and 171,000 respectively, an increase of 2.1 and 2.2 times year-on-year; the production and sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles were 34,000 and 35,000, an increase of 49.9% and 49.9% respectively. 70.8%; the production and sales of fuel cell vehicles were 36 and 38, respectively, down 67% and 48% year-on-year.

From January to April, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 750,000 and 732,000 respectively, a year-on-year increase of 2.6 times and 2.5 times respectively. 3. The main business income of key enterprises from January to March increased by 76.2% year-on-year

From January to March, key enterprises (groups) in the automobile industry achieved a total of 1,049.6 billion yuan in main business income, a year-on-year increase of 76.2%; a cumulative total of 103.17 billion yuan in profits and taxes, a year-on-year increase of 230.9%.

4. Car exports in April increased by 1.1 times year-on-year

In April, 151,000 vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 114.6%. In terms of vehicle types, 117,000 passenger vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 113.4%; commercial vehicle exports were 34,000, a year-on-year increase of 119.1%.

From January to April, 516,000 vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 88.1%. In terms of vehicle types, the export of passenger vehicles was 396,000, a year-on-year increase of 89.3%; the export of commercial vehicles was 120,000, a year-on-year increase of 84.3%.
