On June 18, 2021, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers released the Vehicle Data Blockchain Platform (VDBP) to the entire industry at the "China Automotive Forum" held in Shanghai. VDBP is a platform for realizing automobile data interaction and integrated application between enterprises. Enterprises can establish trust in data interaction through it and complete data and algorithm model transactions.

VDBP uses blockchain technology as the underlying architecture, establishes nodes in each enterprise data center, and establishes a coordination mechanism between each enterprise data center, and puts the tags and hashes of enterprise desensitized data on the chain, ensuring that the right of data assets is confirmed, It is traceable, usable and non-tamperable, and uses smart contract technology to realize online transactions and offline delivery of data, ensuring data security.

At the meeting, Dr. Wang Yao, Assistant Secretary-General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and Minister of Technology Department, gave a detailed introduction on how to use VDBP to build a data ecosystem for the automobile industry.

In accordance with the requirements of the Data Security Law, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, as the industry organization of the automobile industry, has formulated regulations and group standards for data security behavior in accordance with the law, and has established the industry's data infrastructure. Therefore, in the construction of the data ecology, the China Automobile Association advocates strengthening industry self-discipline, promoting the application of industrial data, and actively responding to supervision. China Association of Automobile Manufacturers will play the role of industry organization through VDBP.

VDBP will serve as the infrastructure for building industry data centers, effectively supporting the digital transformation of my country's intelligent networked automobile companies, and promoting the construction of an automotive industry data ecosystem that integrates data interaction, data storage, data mining and other multi-scenario applications.

At present, the first phase of the development and construction of the platform has been completed, and some companies have connected to VDBP and started data interaction. At the same time, the China Automobile Association has also begun to rely on VDBP to provide member companies with credible data storage services for free.

In the future, the China Automobile Association will further expand the data nodes of VDBP, realize the integration of the automobile industry data chain through VDBP, and promote the development of my country's intelligent networked automobile industry.
