Vietnam's "Financial Online" reported on July 15 that in the first six months of this year, Vietnam imported 81107 original vehicles of various types, with an import value of US$1.84 billion, and the import volume and import value increased by 100.5% and 100.3% respectively.
According to information from the General Administration of Customs of Vietnam, Vietnam imported 15,316 cars in June, with an import value of 335.4 million U.S. dollars. Although the volume fell by 1.8% and the value of imports fell by 10.2%, imports remained high in June. This is the second consecutive month that the number of imported original cars exceeded 15,000.
Vietnam's main import markets are Thailand, Indonesia and China. Among them, Thailand ranked first with 40,485 vehicles with an import value of 758 million U.S. dollars; Indonesia reached 23072 vehicles with an import value of 287 million U.S. dollars; China 11459 vehicles with an import value of 427 million U.S. dollars.
