Recently, a China Europe train loaded with 96 standard boxes of household appliances, clothing and other goods (Chongqing New Europe) left the station of Tuanjie village in Chongqing. It will leave the country through Horgos port, pass through Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and other countries, cross the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea, and finally reach European countries through rail sea intermodal transport. The smooth departure of this train marks the successful operation of the first cross "two seas" line in the south channel of China Europe train (Chongqing Xinou).

Chinanews.com reported that the rapid development of China Europe trains is reflected not only in the growth of "quantity", but also in the leap of "quality". According to the statistics of Horgos customs, while the value of goods carried by China EU trains has increased significantly, the commodity structure has also been optimized. Bulk resource-based commodities account for half of the country, and high-value-added products such as electromechanical products, high-tech products and complete vehicles have increased significantly. Among the new lines, the local train lines in Xinjiang also showed a significant growth trend. In 2021, 11 new China Europe train routes from Urumqi to Russia, Korla to Georgia and Changji to Kazakhstan passed through Horgos port. Among the five newly added lines in 2022, two are the China Europe train lines opened locally in Xinjiang, namely Kashgar Almaty and kashyecheng Tajikistan spitdaming. So far, there are 61 China Europe trains running through Horgos port.

Since this year, the number of China Europe trains passing through Xinjiang Railway ports has exceeded 4000. With the rapid development of China Europe trains, the regional advantages of Horgos port have been further highlighted. The China Europe trains shuttling between Asia and Europe have accelerated the interconnection between China and countries along the "the Belt and Road" and further expanded Xinjiang's "circle of friends" for opening up to the outside world.
