Caofeidian is one of the four areas of China (Hebei) pilot free trade zone. Since 2018, the international freight train from Caofeidian port area to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, the international freight train of tangxieurope (Tangshan Caofeidian Port - Xi'an - Tashkent / Moscow) and the China Mongolia return train have been operated successively.

Based on the planning background of the coastal economic belt of Hebei Province, the China Europe train is developed to develop the sea rail multimodal transport China Europe train with Caofeidian port area as the fulcrum, mainly to transport the equipment of the Sino Russian joint construction "new grain land corridor" project carried by Tangshan juxun Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd.

According to Shi Ning, general manager of Tangshan juxun Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., it is planned to operate four China Europe trains every month to transport 400 boxes of building materials, equipment, cold chain and other goods directly to Russia; On the return trip, Russian soybeans, corn, wheat, flaxseed, rapeseed oil, barley, etc. can be imported to form a pendulum transportation mode of "re going back" for the train.

Lixiaoyu, director of the Investment Promotion Bureau of Caofeidian Port Logistics Park, said that the opening of the China EU train is an important measure to actively respond to the national "the Belt and Road" initiative, deepen the expansion of China EU trade market, and accelerate the construction of a new development pattern of domestic and international double circulation; It is also an effective way for Caofeidian district to give full play to the advantages of the port, meet the existing material transportation needs, promote the transformation and upgrading of regional economic structure, stabilize the development of domestic and foreign trade liner routes, and extend the trade service chain.
