The China-Vietnam train has become a convenient channel for Thai and Vietnamese fruits to enter China.

On February 25, 2020, the Guangxi Pingxiang Railway Port was officially accepted by the General Administration of Customs of China, and after obtaining the qualification of the designated supervision site for imported fruits, Vietnamese fruits entered the port for the first time. Since 2020, the Pingxiang railway port has imported a total of 73,293 tons of fruit.

According to reports, among the fruits imported from the Pingxiang railway port, there are durians, mangosteens from Thailand, lychees and jackfruits from Vietnam, etc. These fruits will be quickly transferred to Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Zhengzhou, Chongqing after being transported by the China-Vietnam train. and so on.

Guangxi Wuhua International Trade Co., Ltd. is an enterprise mainly engaged in importing ASEAN fruits and selling them to China. Starting this year, the company chose railway transportation. "Fruits have higher requirements for transportation temperature, aging, loading reinforcement, etc." According to Huang Shuwei, general manager of the company, "After the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) came into effect, they saw new opportunities. Railway transportation It has the advantages of one-stop processing, paperless and fast customs clearance, which saves nearly two-thirds of the time for its cargo clearance, which can better meet the requirements of fruit transportation."

In the first half of this year, a total of 173 trains of China-Vietnam trains were launched and 5,196 TEUs of containerized cargo were dispatched, representing a year-on-year increase of 19.3% and 26.3% respectively, showing a good trend of steady progress.
