Recently, a China-Europe freight train departed from Wuwei, carrying 46 containers and loaded with 479 tons of goods such as machinery and equipment, decorative materials, and plastic particles, left the Horgos railway port and headed for Moscow. This is the 65th China-Europe freight train running route through Horgos Port.
Khorgos is an important node city in the construction of the "Belt and Road", an important window for Xinjiang to open to the west, and a "golden channel" for international logistics land transportation. With the in-depth advancement of the "Belt and Road" initiative, the strategic significance of China-Europe freight trains as an important channel connecting China, Europe and Central Asia has become increasingly prominent. The number of new trains in the past two years accounts for 69% of the total number of ports passing through the port. The departure points of the trains are concentrated in Xi'an, Chongqing, Chengdu, Lanzhou and other cities where China-Europe trains are assembled, and the radiation area has expanded from 2 countries and 3 cities to 18 countries and 45 cities.
In order to support the high-quality development of China-Europe freight trains, Horgos Customs, a subsidiary of Urumqi Customs, has continuously optimized and improved the supervision services of China-Europe freight trains. On the basis of the previous customs clearance facilitation measures such as railway manifest consolidation, paperless declaration, and round-the-clock customs clearance, etc. On the other hand, actively promote the "Railway Express" supervision mode and the "Guan-Tietong" project to operate smoothly, effectively simplify customs clearance procedures; at the same time, promote information sharing and interconnection with railways and other departments, and strive to improve the import and export of goods carried by China-Europe trains in the domestic section. The efficiency of customs transit transportation will further open up the international logistics channel, and help the efficient operation of China-Europe trains.
According to Lv Wangsheng, Deputy Chief of the Third Section of Horgos Customs Supervision, "We actively guide enterprises to adopt 'manifest consolidation' and other convenient measures to improve logistics efficiency, and the export customs clearance time continues to be shortened, providing a stable international logistics channel for foreign trade enterprises. Helping enterprises to trade with countries jointly building the 'Belt and Road'."
