The "Railway Express" mode realizes the paperless review, release and write-off of the electronic data of the railway manifest by the customs. Enterprises do not need to declare and go through customs transfer procedures. It reduces the cost of enterprises and further improves the efficiency of customs clearance. As of August 4, since the opening of the China-Laos Railway for 8 months, Kunming Customs has accumulated a total of 1 million tons of imported and exported goods under supervision, inspection and release, with a total freight value of 9.06 billion yuan. At present, 21 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in China have successively opened cross-border freight trains on the China-Laos Railway. The freight transportation has covered Laos, Thailand, Singapore and other countries and regions along the "Belt and Road", and the cross-border freight transportation capacity has been further improved.
