At 7:25 on December 1, a B737-800 full cargo plane took off from Manila International Airport in the Philippines and landed slowly at Lishe International Airport in Ningbo, Zhejiang (hereinafter referred to as "Ningbo Airport"), marking the official opening of the international trade cargo route from Ningbo to Manila.

This is the first all cargo air cargo route from Ningbo to Manila, and also the first air cargo route between Ningbo and the Philippines.

It is reported that this route is the first time that Zhongyuan Longhao Airlines Co., Ltd. has put in overnight cargo capacity at Ningbo Airport, and plans to fly three flights a week.

This route mainly exports various e-commerce products and ordinary goods, and imports aquatic products such as rice eels from the Philippines. Among them, ricefield eels are imported into Ningbo Airport for the first time, which will further enrich the categories of inbound goods at Ningbo Airport and improve the competitiveness of Ningbo Airport in importing fresh goods in international trade.

Since the formal entry into force of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP), Ningbo Airport has continued to give full play to its own advantages, deepen cooperation with airlines and freight forwarders in cross-border e-commerce, fresh products and other related forms of business, actively expand international trade freight routes, and successively open and encrypt freight routes to Vietnam, Japan and other RCEP countries.

The smooth opening of the Ningbo Manila route will further vigorously promote the trade between Ningbo and the countries and regions along the "the Belt and Road", and improve the international trade competitiveness of enterprises in Ningbo and its surrounding regions.

In the next step, Ningbo Airport will continue to increase the network of freight routes in Southeast Asia, expand high-quality freight routes for RCEP member countries, improve the convenience of communication in the Asia Pacific region, actively promote the high-quality development of Ningbo's modern international trade logistics industry, and continue to make efforts to promote the regional economic development of Ningbo.
