Zaozhuang City, which is located in the inland, is the biggest bottleneck for international trade enterprises to export. For this reason, the local government has explored the mode of "land and sea linkage, direct sea and rail transport", and moved the "sea outlet" to the "home gate" by building an inland port. "In 2022, the overall operation of Zaozhuang Inland Port will rise against the trend, and in 2023, the freight volume will continue to grow at a high speed." Zhou Xueliang said that the goods exported through Zaozhuang Inland Port have more than doubled compared with the same period in previous years.

Behind the increase in export orders and the substantial increase in freight volume of enterprises is the high demand for transportation timeliness. Heze Shengqing Food Co., Ltd., located in Caoxian, Shandong Province, sells asparagus, canned fruits and vegetables and other products in the top 25 supermarkets in the world. Recently, the company received a large order from Europe.

"Canned products' going to sea 'by ship should not only save the transportation cost but also consider the timeliness." Tang Linglin, general manager of Heze Shengqing Food Co., Ltd., said that due to the use of sea-railway combined transportation, the export time should be shortened, which is a great test of the efficiency of all aspects of transportation. Once the time is exceeded, there will be demurrage charges and loss of space charges.

In addition to sea-railway intermodal transport, a number of export enterprises have rapidly transported goods to European countries by virtue of the transport efficiency of the China-EU train. "Fast, safe and stable, these factors are crucial to the export of enterprises. The China-EU train is not only stable in transportation, but also two thirds shorter in time than sea transportation." Kan Bin, the head of overseas transportation business of Jinan Bond Laser Co., Ltd., said that the reduction of transportation time has improved the turnover rate of enterprises' goods, especially the rapid growth of orders in recent years, making enterprises more determined to choose the train transportation.

At Dongjiazhen Station, the departure station of the China-Europe Express in Jinan, the railway department actively solved the two major problems of "difficult to load" and "slow to load". Sun Bo, a freight forwarder at Dongjia Town Station, told reporters that taking the laser engraving machine, laser cutting machine and other equipment of Bond Laser as an example, the railway department organized a loading and strengthening team to customize the packing plan for equipment with large single weight and long single length by increasing the contact surface and making steel structure frame, which could reduce the packing time by 4 to 6 hours.

According to statistics, in 2022, China's China-Europe train will operate 16562 trains and transport 1.614 million TEUs, with a year-on-year increase of 9% and 10% respectively. The number of China-Europe trains such as "Chengyu", "Chang'an", "Qilu" and other China-Europe trains has exceeded 2000, with the highest number of more than 5000, which has played an important role in stabilizing the international supply chain industry chain and promoting the stability and growth of international trade along the China-Europe line.

Intensive and efficient transport organization mode has far-reaching significance for both coastal cities and inland areas. Ge Jintian, director of Shandong Logistics Development Research Center, said that the railway department has continuously improved the efficiency of transportation and helped enterprises reduce transportation time, save logistics costs and boost the "acceleration" of foreign trade in the key period when the current export situation of international trade enterprises continues to improve.
