At 22:00 on February 2, a B747-400 full-cargo chartered plane from Qingdao to New York, the United States, carrying more than 100 tons of cross-border e-commerce and other international trade export goods roared into the air, marking the formal opening of the Qingdao to New York cross-border e-commerce full-cargo charter flight route of Qingdao West Coast New Bonded Logistics Center Co., Ltd. The opening of this route will improve the turnover efficiency of international trade export goods of local enterprises in Qingdao, promote the export of local goods, further meet the urgent demand of the air cargo market in Shandong and even East China for the United States cargo routes, and bring convenience to international trade enterprises.

The Qingdao to New York cross-border e-commerce full-cargo charter flight route opened this time is the first scheduled full-cargo charter flight route from Qingdao to New York that focuses on cross-border e-commerce goods. The route is operated by Qingdao West Coast New Bonded Logistics Center Co., Ltd., and operated by Connie Airlines. On the basis of the routes from Qingdao to Osaka and from Qingdao to Hanoi in Vietnam that have been opened and operated in the early stage, and with the strong support of the airport group logistics development special class, customs and other departments, the early preparation work such as the approval of cargo charter flights and cargo consolidation has been efficiently completed, and the various links such as cargo collection, entry and exit customs declaration, airport operation, and international trade cargo transportation have been smoothly carried out.

It is understood that the charter plane is scheduled to operate in a regular manner three times a week, leaving Qingdao every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, with a round-trip flight time of about 33 hours. The main types of goods carried by chartered aircraft include cross-border e-commerce goods, general goods, mail, express and some fresh goods, which can meet the efficient transport needs of various types of goods under different trade modes, greatly save the time and cost of cross-border e-commerce enterprises, and promote the development of international trade.
