Planet Carrier

The planetary carrier is one of the main components of the planetary gear transmission, and the planetary wheel shaft or bearing is mounted on the planetary carrier. When the planetary gear is used as a basic component, it is the part that bears the largest external moment in the mechanism. The structural design and manufacture of the planetary gear have a great influence on the load distribution between the various planetary gears and the load-carrying capacity, noise and vibration of the transmission device.
The reasonable structure of the planet carrier should be light in weight, good in rigidity, easy to process and assemble. Its common structural forms include double-sided plate integral type, double-sided plate separated type and single-sided plate type. The rigidity of the integral type of the double side plate is good. If this structure adopts integral forging, the cutting process will be very large, so casting and welding methods can be used to obtain a blank with a structure and size close to the finished product, but care should be taken to eliminate casting or welding defects and internal stress, otherwise it will affect the strength of the planet carrier. Processing quality and deformation may occur during use.
