New organosilicon processing aid PPA-SI

Development background


At present, the PPA used in the market is mainly fluoropolymer processing AIDS, which are polymer processing AIDS based on fluoropolymers, that is, copolymers of one or more fluoropolyolefin or fluoropolyolefin and other olefins, such as vinylidene fluoride, tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene binary copolymer or terpolymer.


On January 13, 2023, a proposal for the restriction of PFAS (perfluorinated and polyfluoroalkyl substances) prepared by the authorities of Denmark, Germany, Finland, Norway and Sweden was submitted to the European Chemicals Management (ECHA), and once the proposal is adopted, it will have a great impact on the industrial chain.


Our company launched a new organosilicon processing additives, which tend to be homogeneous dispersed in the melt compared with ordinary organosilicon, and at the same time, the external moisture is stronger. In the process of blowing film and extrusion pipe only 2-8 minutes can achieve a stable lubrication state, greatly extend the formation time of die deposit, reduce the number of cleaning machine, reduce the screw torque, reduce the current, improve the proportion of return material and filler, improve the surface finish of the product.




Performance characteristics


1. The metal surface forms a lubricating film:


Clean the screw, reduce the friction, prevent the material hardening, carbonization in the dead corner, step, the hardening, carbonization material coating, lubrication, discharge the barrel.


2. Improve internal lubrication:


A. Reduce the laminar flow velocity difference, weaken the die shear, reduce and delay the formation and accumulation of die deposit.


B, greatly reduce the width and length of weld marks caused by hard objects and mold defects, reduce melt breakage and shark skin generation.


3, super moisture:


Forming a coated lubricating layer on the die deposit, preventing and delaying its hardening, carbonization, and protecting the film surface.


4. Form a protective layer on the surface of the film:


Prevent the generation of static electricity caused by friction, giving the opening effect.


5, reduce costs:


Reduce the current, torque, increase the amount of return material, improve the surface finish of the product.






Usage method


1. Mix the dried PPA-Si into the material for direct production.


2. It is recommended to add 0.5%-1.2%.






Packaging and storage


1. Packing 25kg/ bag, can also be specified according to user requirements.


2. The product should be kept dry and protected from sun and rain during storage and transportation.


3. Effective storage period of 24 months. Beyond the storage period, after passing the inspection, it can still be used.
