Working Principle

The vacuum rake dryer is mainly composed of a shell, a rotating shaft and a fan-shaped rake tooth. Different from the paddle dryer, the rotating shaft and the rake teeth of the vacuum rake dryer are used as a heating surface, which acts as a stirring surface and a renewing surface. The rake dryer is vacuum operated. First, the wet material is added to the dryer, and the heating medium (usually steam or hot water) is passed into the jacket, and then the vacuum pump is started. After reaching the specified vacuum degree, the stirring device is started. Using the forward and reverse rotation of the fan-shaped rake teeth, the material is continuously pushed to the middle and both ends during the drying process. Through these measures, the timely renewal of the heat transfer surface can be ensured, thereby accelerating the rate of heat and mass transfer. When the material is dried to the specified moisture, stop heating, close the vacuum system, take out the dried material, and complete a cycle of operation. This dryer is suitable for the drying of pulp, paste, granular, powder and fibrous materials, especially for heat-sensitive materials and drying operations that require recovery of organic vapors. Vacuum rake dryers have many advantages. The fan-shaped rake teeth of the vacuum rake dryer have two basic forms, left and right. No matter left or right, there are two kinds of special-shaped and blade-shaped. During installation, the difference between adjacent rake teeth is 90 degrees, the two ends of the shaft are installed with special-shaped rake teeth, and the rest are installed with paddle-shaped rake teeth. When the shaft rotates, under the action of the stirring shaft, the material moves to both sides first, and then moves to the middle, which can ensure that the material is in a uniform stirring state throughout the drying process. The drying medium commonly used in vacuum rake dryers is generally 0.1-0.3Mpa steam, heat transfer oil or hot water, the vacuum degree in the dryer is 50-90kPa, the filling rate of materials is 30%--80%, and the thermal efficiency is 70%. %--80%. The speed of the shaft is 4-10r/min.
