Soundproof Fireproof Glass
Fireproof glass, as a new type of building fire protection product, is increasingly being adopted in buildings, but there are no specific specifications and standards for the design and inspection of this type of product. During design, attention should be paid to the following three aspects:
1. The application of fire-resistant glass in the design of curtain walls and partitions is not simply about replacing non fire-resistant materials used in curtain walls or partitions with fire-resistant materials, nor is it about replacing ordinary glass with fire-resistant glass and achieving success. Instead, it should be comprehensively considered as a fire protection system.
2. The fire resistance performance level that can be achieved by fire-resistant glass curtain walls and partitions needs to be determined by comprehensively considering the fire resistance level of various factors in the entire system. Subjectively speculating may make mistakes, and if necessary, testing tests need to be conducted to determine.
When selecting fire-resistant glass in the design, attention should be paid to the corresponding relationship between the size of the glass plate and the fire resistance performance level.
Fireproof furnace
Mainly used for testing the performance of fireproof glass, with a temperature detector outside the furnace, which can be heated to 999 ℃. -
3-hour Fire-resistant Glass
Firstly, fireproof glass can be divided into composite fireproof glass (represented by FFB) and single piece fireproof glass (represented by DFB) according to its structure.
According to fire resistance, it can be divided into: insulated fireproof glass (Class A) and non insulated fireproof glass (Class C).
According to product types, fire-resistant glass is a special type of glass that can maintain its integrity during specified fire resistance tests. It is divided into three categories according to product types:
Class A
Fireproof glass that meets the requirements of both fire integrity and fire insulation. It includes two types: composite fire-resistant glass and poured fire-resistant glass. This type of glass has transparent, fireproof (smoke, fire, and heat radiation shielding), sound insulation, and impact resistance properties, and is suitable for building decorative steel and wood fireproof doors, windows, upper lighting, partition walls, daylighting roofs, smoke blocking vertical walls, perspective floors, and other building components that require both transparency and fire resistance.
Class B
At the same time, the fireproof glass meets the requirements of fire integrity and thermal radiant intensity. This type of fireproof glass is mostly composite fireproof glass with characteristics of transparency, fire resistance, and smoke insulation.
Class C
Single piece fire-resistant glass that only meets the requirements of fire resistance integrity. This type of glass has the characteristics of transparency, fire resistance, smoke isolation, and high strength. Suitable for fireproof glass partition walls, fireproof windows, outdoor curtain walls, etc. without insulation requirements. -
5mm Fire-resistant Glass
Fireproof glass, whose main function in fire prevention is to control the spread of fire or isolate smoke, is a measure type of fireproof material, and its fire prevention effect is evaluated based on its fire resistance performance. It is a special type of glass that has undergone special processing and treatment to maintain its integrity and insulation during specified fire resistance tests. The original sheet of fireproof glass can be made of float glass, tempered glass, composite fireproof glass, or single sheet fireproof glass.
There are five main types of fire-resistant glass, one is laminated composite fire-resistant glass, the other is wire reinforced fire-resistant glass, the third is special fire-resistant glass, the fourth is hollow fire-resistant glass, and the fifth is high-strength single-layer cesium potassium fire-resistant glass.

Car Bulletproof Glass
Bulletproof glass is a composite material obtained by special processing of glass (or organic glass) and high-quality engineering plastics. It is usually a transparent material, such as PVB/polycarbonate fiber thermoplastic. It has the appearance of ordinary glass and the ability to transmit light, providing some protection for small weapon shooting.
Bulletproof glass is actually made by bonding multiple pieces of glass or high-strength organic panels together using transparent bonding materials. Generally, there are three layers of structure:
① Bearing layer: This layer first undergoes impact and ruptures, usually using thick and high-strength glass that can damage or change the shape of the warhead, causing it to lose its ability to continue moving forward.
② Transition layer: Generally made of organic bonding material, with strong adhesion and good light resistance, it can absorb some impact energy and change the direction of bullet movement. A very strong and transparent chemical film is sandwiched in laminated glass. This not only effectively prevents bullets from firing, but also has properties such as surge resistance, explosion resistance, shock resistance, and no cracking after impact.
③ Safety protection layer: This layer uses high-strength glass or high-strength transparent organic materials, which have good elasticity and toughness, can absorb the majority of impact energy, and ensure that bullets cannot pass through this layer
The most important performance indicator of bulletproof glass is its bulletproof ability. The indicators of bulletproof ability are measured from two aspects: one is the safety protection ability, and the other is the killing ability of the protected gun. -
Single Piece Bulletproof Glass
Bulletproof glass is a special type of glass with high safety performance that can withstand a certain equivalent of bomb explosion attack without breaking away from the frame, maintaining its integrity or non penetrating damage.
According to the different degrees of human protection, bulletproof glass can be divided into two types, one is safety type and the other is life safety type. After being shot, the safety bulletproof glass has no splashes on its non impact surface and does not cause any harm to the human body; Life safety bulletproof glass may have splashes on the non impact surface after being shot, but bullets cannot penetrate the glass and may cause secondary harm to the human body. Bulletproof glass has different requirements for its bulletproof ability according to different gun types. Bulletproof glass is divided into three major series. The first is aviation bulletproof glass, the second is bulletproof glass for vehicles and ships, and the third is bulletproof glass for banks. The thickness is between 18mm and 40mm.
In bomb attacks and unexpected explosion events, bomb resistant glass can minimize the direct damage caused by the ultra-high load of explosion shock waves and high-speed splashing of glass fragments, and reduce the repair costs of attacked facilities or facilities around the explosion center. The anti bomb glass maintains impenetrability under the condition of a sharp increase in the load generated by the energy of the explosion shock wave, which is several times or even dozens of times larger. The glass retention value RET ≈ 1. Once a single piece of glass (including float glass, tempered glass, and insulating glass) breaks, as long as it slightly exceeds the critical breaking pressure RET, it quickly drops below 0.3, causing glass fragments to scatter and cause penetrating damage. -

Once a single piece of glass breaks, as long as it slightly exceeds the critical breaking pressure RET, it quickly drops below 0.3, causing glass fragments to scatter and cause penetrating damage.
1. Capable of withstanding large bomb explosion impact loads;
2. After being hit by a bomb explosion, the glass remained inside the frame.
Bomb proof glass combination:
Type A: DFB8+polymer material+DFB8
8mm high-strength single piece cesium potassium fireproof glass+polymer material+8mm high-strength single piece cesium potassium fireproof glass
Type B: DFB10+polymer material+DFB10
10mm high-strength single piece cesium potassium fireproof glass+polymer material+10mm high-strength single piece cesium potassium fireproof glass
Comparison between bomb proof glass and other glass in terms of explosion resistance:
When ordinary glass (annealed, tempered, or semi tempered) is impacted by a bomb explosion, glass fragments are scattered, causing penetrating damage to the glass and causing serious injuries to personnel and indoor facilities. RET≈0-0.2。
When ordinary laminated glass is impacted by a bomb explosion, the glass will break and the shock wave will enter the room. In serious cases, the whole piece of broken glass will fly up and hit the human body, causing serious injury. The overall damage range is smaller than that of ordinary glass. RET≈0.3-0.5。
When the anti bomb glass is impacted by a bomb explosion, it bends backwards and the frame system compresses and cushions backwards. The glass is intact or ruptures, but there are basically no fragments splashing out, ensuring that indoor personnel and facilities are not harmed. RET≈1.0。
Note:
RET: Retention value, indicating the overall retention of the glass within the frame.
RET=weight of glass after explosion impact/weight of glass before explosion impact
When RET=1.0, the entire glass remains inside the frame, fragments are not scattered, and the glass does not penetrate;
When RET=0, the entire glass leaves the frame, fragments scatter, and penetrating failure occurs.
Polymer polymers are generally PVB, and there are also other types of transparent bulletproof films, but PVB is a commonly used material. -
Transparent Laminated Glass
Laminated glass, namely laminated glass, is a composite glass product consisting of two or more pieces of glass with one or more layers of organic polymer intermediate film sandwiched between them. After special high-temperature pre pressing (or vacuum pumping) and high-temperature and high-pressure processing, the glass and the intermediate film are permanently bonded together.
Common laminated glass intermediate films include PVB, SGP, EVA, etc. In addition, there are some special ones, such as laminated glass with colored intermediate film, laminated glass with SGX type printing intermediate film, and laminated glass with XIR type LOW-E intermediate film. Embedded decorative parts (metal mesh, metal plate, etc.) laminated glass, embedded PET material laminated glass and other decorative and functional laminated glass.
Benefits of laminated glass:
1. The sound insulation effect of modern living rooms has become one of the important factors for people to measure the quality of housing.
Using Saflex? The laminated glass of PVB intermediate film can block sound waves and maintain a quiet and comfortable office environment. Its unique UV filtering function not only protects people's skin health, but also frees valuable furniture, displays, and other items in the home from the bad luck of fading. It can also reduce the transmission of sunlight and reduce cooling energy consumption.
2. Many advantages of laminated glass can also have unexpected good effects when used in home decoration.
For example, many family doors, including kitchen doors, are made of Frosted glass. When cooking, the cooking fume is easy to accumulate on it. If laminated glass is used instead, it will not have this trouble. Similarly, the large area of glass separation in the home is a potential safety hazard for naturally active children. If laminated glass is used, parents can be greatly relieved. Even if the glass breaks, fragments and sharp small fragments still stick to the intermediate film. -
Flame Retardant Organic Glass
1. Flame retardant organic glass refers to organic glass that does not ignite when encountering flames or burns slowly and automatically extinguishes when leaving the flame. It is an environmentally friendly new material that combines the advantages of organic glass and polycarbonate. Its strength and impact toughness are superior to organic glass, and it is widely used in buildings with high fire protection requirements.
2. The flame retardant performance of organic glass is determined by its oxygen index, which is generally greater than 25 (17.5 for ordinary organic glass). Flame retardant organic glass is made by adding a flame retardant to the monomer methyl methacrylate and heating it to make a slurry, or directly adding it to the pre polymerized slurry that has been prepared, and then casting and polymerizing it.
3. Cast organic glass containing halogen and phosphorus flame retardant compounds, used for lighting fixtures and safety glass in industries such as building window glass, architecture, aviation, subway, vehicles, advertising decoration, elevators, electronic appliances, etc. with fire and flame retardant requirements. -
Flame Retardant Transparent Glass
The basic characteristics of flame retardant organic glass:
Organic glass that does not ignite or burns slowly and automatically extinguishes when it leaves the flame. The optical, mechanical, and processing properties are similar to those of ordinary organic glass, and the flame retardancy is determined by the oxygen index, which is generally greater than 25 (17.5 for ordinary organic glass). Add the flame retardant to the monomer methyl methacrylate and heat it for pre polymerization to form a slurry, or directly add it to the pre polymerization slurry that has been prepared, and form a casting polymerization. There are two types of flame retardants: copolymerized and additive: copolymerized flame retardants are methacrylates containing bromine or phosphorus; Additive flame retardants are compounds containing halogen and phosphorus. Suitable for use as building window glass, interior decoration, and lighting fixtures for vehicles and ships, as well as fire-resistant and flame-retardant transparent plastics. -
Flame Retardant Glass
According to the structure, the composite fireproof glass condenses a transparent and flame retardant gel between two pieces of glass or toughened glass. When encountering high temperature, this glue will decompose endothermic reaction, which can absorb a lot of heat energy and become opaque glass with good heat insulation. It can maintain a certain schedule without exploding, and after exploding, the fragments will not fall. It can isolate the flame and prevent it from spreading. If flame retardant is added to gel at the same time, flame retardant gas can be released at high temperature, which will have flame retardant and multiple effects at the same time; If wire mesh is embedded in the composite layer, it can provide multiple effects of insulation, preventing heat diffusion, and protection; If thermal sensing elements are embedded in the fireproof interlayer and connected in series with automatic alarm devices and automatic fire extinguishing devices, it can have both alarm and fire extinguishing functions.
